PDX-CSA Like Fresh Produce, but Fresh Art Instead

I'm thrilled to be part of this wonderful program, pdx-csa.com. Ten artists will pre-sale work, a series of 20 paintings, and let collectors in on their progress as they paint. It's new, innovative and definitely catching on! You can order your yet-to-be-painted-but-sure-to-be-a-happy-surprise painting now through June 15th.

Great Day at Muse

I spent Saturday demoing my work at Muse Art and Design on Hawthorne.  It was really a lot of fun to get to know the great people at Muse and interact with customers.  Lots of good questions about encaustic and painting in general.  Great day!

Come and check out Glyph Cafe and Arts Space

The March exhibit at Glyph is up and it runs through March 24th.  I'm really excited about this new space for promoting the arts; visual, literary and musical.  It's a very exciting undertaking by owners Sandra Comstock and Hugo Moreno.  They are doing something very new and much needed in this arts community.  I've included a bit more about that after the opening reception info.  Please come and support this wonderful new venture!
Come check it out this First Thursday.

Here's a little bit more about the Glyph vision:

Located in the North Park Blocks in the Pearl District, Glyph Café & Arts Space offers a relaxed and inviting gathering place for sharing conversation, light fare, tea, coffee & drinks with friends.

The glyph – as one of the earliest forms of visual art and writing – expresses our mission: to provide a crossroads where Portland’s diverse visual and literary arts communities can meet to share ideas and projects.

Every 1-2 months Glyph features a local artist and writer to exhibit their work in tandem. We invite artists working in painting, printmaking, multimedia works on paper and letterpress to show their work and participate in a first Thursday opening. Invited writers perform a reading of their poems, short stories, or longer-form fiction at a special evening event and their writing and related ephemera are displayed in the cafe's custom-built shadow box tables.

Final Preps for Guardino Gallery Show

Spending the day laying out all of the new panels for the Guardino exhibit and getting them packed up to go.  I've added about twenty new panels to my existing body of work over the last several months - many of the them are larger pieces.  I'm looking forward to finishing up with the install tomorrow - phew!  Come out for the opening reception Saturday night, from 6-9.
